A house of worship
Our goal, desire and longing is to worship and minister to the Lord. As Christians, we believe that all those who call themselves servants and lovers of Jesus, should desire to spend time in His presence and to be obedient to His word. Worship is not just about music or a section of a “ service”, but about a lifestyle of obedience to His voice. To the daily listening and walking out of His word and what the Lord has called us to do.
“Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.” John 14:23
To spend time in prayer, worshiping and praising who Jesus is, and getting to know Him more. Jesus, His presence and Holy Spirit are what truly sustains us.
a house of fellowship
Sharing meals and breaking bread together is a beautiful and biblical way to grow with each other, sharpen each other and just enjoy the fellowship of each other. We love being in the presence of Jesus and His Word, which is sustenance for our soul and spirit. And sharing our meals together after service, is sustenance for our bodies. While it’s not always a large meal, whether it’s cookies and coffee or a full meal, there will always be a place at the table for you. Come and dine with us!
a house of prayer
Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, “It is written,” he said to them, “My house will be called a house of prayer,”… Coming together in corporate prayer or sitting alone in the presence of His peace and drawing close to Him, communing with Him. Jesus spent time in prayer to His Father in Heaven. And we are do to the same. Jesus said His house would be a house of prayer, therefore as followers of the Messiah, we must be a people of prayer.
a house of servants
We are here to serve the Lord and one another. A great marriage, is two servants coming together. So a fellowship of believers should be, serving one another, with joy and peace.
So Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:42-45
Jesus also said that His true disciples would be known for their love for one another ( John 13:35 ). Knowing what our roles are, what are callings, gifts, strengths and weaknesses are, allow us to serve each other as well as those in our communities who not only need to hear that God loves them, but experience it through His disciples and loving our neighbors and being doers of the Word, not just hearers.
